Abby Brennan, Art Teacher, Stowe Elementary—“We are running low on what we have so all art projects have been reduced in size and variation. It (Creative Pitch) helps us continue to be involved in conceptual art instead of make-shift craft.”

Mr. Robert Mishlove, Art Teacher, Goldblatt Elementary—“The Goldblatt student population is African American, of which 89% come from low income house holds. Unfortunately, this school can be classified as an under-resourced school, struggling to educate with limited tools.”

Stacey Shroyer, Art Teacher, Carpenter Elementary—“Receiving free art supplies allows my students many art experiences. Budgets are always an issue and frequently flucutate. Outside assistance is necessary to support the program. ”

Barbara J. Peck, Art Teacher, Medgar Evers School—“Students attending this school come from varying communities throughout the city and are members of low-income families. Many of them have had no formal art classes and were limited to coloring sheets or the like. Available supplies greatly enrich and enhance each of them with hands on media experience. The addition of materials serves to heighten their cultural awareness and visual perception of the arts and bring out their artistic skills. ”

Creative Pitch helps turn what normally would be trash into valuable art supplies for thousands of Chicago area students.
